Where are all my proud moms and dads at??

Can I share a proud mom moment with you? 👏🏽

This baby right here!! (Ok she’s a young adult now, but she’s my baby still! But let’s move on)

She’s been asked to do some modeling and she finally said yes! 👍🏽

Here’s a video clip from her shoot. 📸

I love this for her because it’s been something she’s toyed with back and forth. 💕

The truth is, I’m proud of her for taking the leap and seizing an opportunity that presented itself. 🤓

That’s what learning to excel is about. It’s about overcoming the things that scare us. 😍

It’s about recognizing opportunities and seizing them in the moment! 🏆

If you acted upon the opportunity, where could you be???

***update- She has scolded me for posting this. But guess what? I don’t care!! 😂😂😂😂

There was once a time in my life when Sunday nights made me sick to my stomach. Literally! 🤮

After I realized the pattern, I knew what it was.

I had begun to dread my job as a Social Worker.

Mondays were especially tough. This was because. I never knew what had gone wrong with a family over the weekend.

The uncertainty created anxiety. 😬

It’s how “Keisha Days” came into existence. 💕

I guess they're what people’s PTO days are right now.

Anyway, those days were just for me.

They weren’t for running to necessary appointments, but for me to have a space to fill my own cup back up!

I learned a long time ago that no one can care about my mental and physical health more than I can!

It’s why I’ve become obsessed and possessive about how I fill my own cup! ☕️

Fresh herbal teas, quirky socks, and working out are just a few of the ways I do this.

And by the way, I eventually quit social work as a profession, although, I still have a social worker’s heart. 💜

(Mind you, real estate has its own set of stressors, but they're different from those in social work.)

What do you do to fill your own cup to avoid feeling stressed and bring yourself peace? ✌🏽

Struggling to Get Out of Bed? Here’s How Committing to the Hard Things Can Transform Your Life!

Do you ever wake up and just want to put the covers back over your head?

You’re not alone! Maybe you’re thinking about the dreadful task you have to face.

Or maybe you just feel drained. 🥱

I get it and I’ve felt it too! You wake up to go on a hike or go to the gym early in the morning but it’s not always because you want to. 😞

Attempting to follow through on the things that may be hard but will make life easier in the long run is the goal.

Realistically, who’s really looking forward to long uphill climbs or aching muscles?!

You’re not necessarily committed to the hike or committed to the workout. You’re committed to the results! 💪🏾

I’ll admit that having someone to go with is a huge bonus! Enjoying these activities with tons of friends and family is a bonus!

We’re there to motivate one another, keep each other safe and help each other make progress. 😍

Committing to physically taking care of myself has been one of the best decisions I could have ever made.

The benefits far outweigh any of the small inconveniences felt occasionally.

It’s been great for building a better body and even building better relationships.

There’s joy in sharing the small and big victories along the way. 🌈
