What's Happening In San Dimas?

San Dimas Gold Line ExpansionThe San Dimas Gold Line, also known as the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension, is an extension of the Los Angeles Metro Gold Line light rail system. The extension connects the existing Gold Line terminus in Azusa to the city of Montclair, passing through the city of San Dimas in Los Angeles County, California.

The San Dimas Gold Line project was designed to extend the Gold Line approximately 12.3 miles (19.8 kilometers) eastward from Azusa to Montclair. It includes six new stations along the route, serving communities such as Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, Pomona, Claremont, and Montclair. The project aims to provide improved transportation options, reduce traffic congestion, and enhance connectivity within the region. Once operational, a trip from San Dimas to Pasadena will take approximately 27 minutes and a trip from San Dimas to downtown Los Angeles will take approximately 56 minutes. There will be a parking facility to accommodate 289 spaces which will include EV-charging stations, bicycles and buses.

The construction of the San Dimas Gold Line extension is currently slated to be operational by 2025.
